Connecting High-Potential Canadian Cleantech Companies to US Markets

Connecting High-Potential Canadian Cleantech Companies to US Markets

By 2020 clean technology will be the third largest global industrial sector. Governments and organizations around the world are looking for companies that can help with their clean initiatives, reduce their carbon emissions and provide positive environmental impacts. The opportunity for investing in cleantech has never been better.

Canadian companies are well suited to become leaders in the industry. They have already demonstrated a capacity to innovate such as developing of low carbon bio-fuels to building the world’s largest wind farm. In fact, within the next 10 years, Canadian cleantech revenues are expected to reach $60 billion.

To support Canadian companies in the cleantech sector, EDC is partnering with the Canadian Technology Accelerators (CTA) Cleantech program. The CTA Cleantech event, operated by the Canadian Consulate General in New York, will bring together 25 alumni from the CTA mentorship program with interested New York and Silicon Valley based potential partners and customers. This event, happening September 17th and 18th in New York, can open doors for these companies on the global market.
