Industry leaders are becoming increasingly concerned with social and environmental issues and are striving to integrate sustainable development-friendly practices. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and mining innovation now go hand in hand, where modern production methods, cost cutting, current and future transformations, clean water and healthy ecosystems are concerned.
The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention, i.e., the world’s leading convention for the mining industry, will take place in Toronto, Ontario from March 1 to 4 2015 and will attract 1,000 exhibitors and 30,000 attendees from nearly 130 countries this year.
Discussions at the PDAC Convention will focus on technology and the Green Mining Initiative. Moreover, representatives from Export Development Canada (EDC), the Danish Embassy, MaRs and various innovative mining companies will participate in the “Mining Innovation” event to share their expertise during specialized sessions.
Canadian companies active in the mining industry will have the opportunity to learn more about new and innovative “green” trends in equipment, services and technology, all while rubbing elbows with national and international industry leaders.
EDC, in partnership with the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export (CAMESE) and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD), has organized a B2B Matchmaking Program.
